Hutchins is a Magog-based company specializing in raw material sales and delivery.

With more than 50 years of experience in the field, Hutchins has a well-established reputation. The company wished to reach a new milestone by restructuring its services in order to focus exclusively on aggregate sales and delivery. It also wished to take advantage of the opportunity to modernize its image and reassert its presence on the market. We leveraged a website, a video, and a new brand image in order to target two types of clienteles, namely homeowners and entrepreneurs doing outdoor development projects.

Development of a responsive site to reach out to clients

Given that 8 out of 10 consumers do online searches before making a purchase, the website was a key business opportunity to challenge the competition, target new potential buyers, elicit more quote requests, and generate sales. To facilitate customer choices and orders, a product photo shoot was held and a calculator was set up on the site to show customers estimated quantities of merchandise.

Modernization of the image to reinforce brand awareness

While leaving the family dimension of the company intact, the look was modified to emphasize the recognition the company has earned through its quality products and services. In addition to reviewing the logo typography, we developed a new business card look and developed a flyer displaying the range of products on offer. The new image will allow Hutchins to distinguish itself from competitors by its professionalism, as well as cement its place as a market leader.

Improvement of regional visibility

In order to develop the local market, a Facebook page and Google My Business account were created to attract potential regional customers to the website. These tools provide visibility on search engines, help locate the company on Google Maps, and encourage communication with customers. A targeted advertising campaign on Facebook, based on potential customers’ interests and geolocation, was also launched to supplement this strategy. In addition, a regional newspaper advertisement was created to drum up the interest of potential buyers and invite them to check out the website. Concurrently with the website launch, we initiated a Google AdWords campaign to allow the client to enjoy fast visibility on search engines.

We scripted, filmed and edited a corporate video to make the company and its services better known. The company’s owner narrated the video to project an image of authenticity and friendliness, with a view to building familiarity with potential customers watching the capsule on the Web.
